Derby have recalled defender Lewin Nyatanga from his loan spell at Barnsley.
The promotion chasing Rams have lost Darren Moore to suspension and with few options in defence - manager Billy Davies has brought Welsh international Nyatanga back to Pride Park.
The 18-year-old admits he is a bit sad to be leaving Barnsley - who are fighting for their lives at the other end of the Championship.
"It's a shame that I am leaving Barnsley with the job unfinished, but that's football for you," said Nyatanga.
"I am certain however that the lads at Barnsley will win their fight - they are a great bunch of lads and deserve to stay up.
"I am now swapping a relegation dog fight for a promotion push, I won't feel any pressure, I have now got two relegation fights successfully under my belt so pushing for promotion is where I would rather be any day.
"I hope my spell with Barnsley has shown Mr Davies he can rely on me immediately and I'm not just one for the future. I am here to fight for a starting place and to secure promotion, not just to make up the numbers."
Meanwhile, Lee Camp may also be recalled from his loan at Queens Park Rangers - but the club will first wait for results of their appeal against Stephen Bywater's sending off at Ipswich.
