New Swindon Town loan signing Lee Holmes hopes to have an impact during his month-long spell at The County Ground.

The teenage starlet has arrived in the West Country to assist The Robins after falling down the pecking order at parent club Derby County.

Holmes believes Swindon have great potential and the 17-year-old is looking forward to playing League One football with Andy King's side.

"Last season, I was involved with the first team quite a lot, but we [Derby] bought a few players in the summer and the chances for me to play have dropped off a little bit," Holmes told Swindon's official website.

"Hopefully, this chance at Swindon Town can get me some football under my belt and who knows what could happen after that?

"Swindon are a really big club and there is a lot of potential here and hopefully I can help to make a small bit of that potential come to life."
