MK Dons have made a bid for Derby County's Izale McLeod and will open talks with the youngster this week.
Skysports.com understands that The Dons are confident of landing the Rams starlet - and will offer terms to the 19-year-old.
McLeod had a brief loan spell at Sheffield United - but has yet to play 50 games at senior level.
However, Stuart Murdoch believes that the striker has the potential to become a major star and is hoping to lure him to Milton Keynes.
McLeod has scored four times in his career so far, but will be hoping to improve on that this season.
