DERBY climbed up the Division One ladder with a 3-2 victory over Wimbledon at Pride Park.

The Rams fell behind with just eight minutes on the clock as Neil Shipperley shot home to shock the home crowd.    

John Gergory's side drew level on 17 minutes with Steve Elliott heading home.

The goal stood although striker Malcolm Christie appeared to be standing in an offside position and at the same time obstructing goalkeeper Kelvin Davis.

After the interval Deon Burton headed the Midlands club in front with 48 minutes gone to the delight of the Pride Park faithful.  

Substitute Lee Morris then drilled a left shot from 18 yards out to make it 3-1 ten minutes from time. 

Wimbledon pulled one back two minutes from time with a glancing header from David Connolly.

Derby leapfrog The Dons with the three points and join three other teams on 27 points.
