Stephane Sessegnon is optimistic regarding Sunderland's chances of kick-starting their season at Fulham on Sunday.
Martin O'Neill's side have collected just two points from their last five fixtures and remain stuck on one victory for the season.
Unsurprisingly, a sluggish start to the season has the Black Cats perched just three points above the drop zone.
Things do not look like getting any easier this weekend, with Fulham unbeaten in five and full of goals, but the mood within the camp remains upbeat ahead of a trip to the capital.
"There were a lot of positives against Everton (in a 2-1 defeat last weekend), and we've got to take them into this weekend because it's a big game down at Fulham," Sessegnon told the Shields Gazette.
"It's another chance for us to get that win we need.
"We've had a full week of training to prepare, and there's more to encourage us going forward into the next few games.
"If we had come away with a 1-0 win at Everton, it would have been a massive boost for us. We played a good match, and we were all disappointed we weren't able to come away with three points again.
"But we created far more chances at Everton, and let's hope we can do the same at Fulham."
