Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has expressed his delight for Fraizer Campbell after a whirlwind week for the striker.
The 24-year-old won his first England cap after coming on as a substitute in the defeat to Holland on Wednesday, before discovering that his wife had given birth to his baby daughter on the same evening.
Campbell has only recently returned to full fitness after being out for over a year due to a serious knee injury.
Since his comeback, he has scored twice, helping Sunderland climb the Premier League and reach ninth in the table.
He is expected to be involved for the derby clash with Newcastle on Sunday.
Amazing
Danny Welbeck came off the pitch for Campbell in the 80th minute at Wembley on Wednesday and the Sunderland striker was on the pitch for both of England's goals.
But O'Neill believes that making his debut should give Campbell enough satisfaction.
He said: "He's had an amazing couple of days, getting on a playing for England, getting a cap.
"It doesn't matter how long he was on the field of play, it doesn't matter how many touches he did or didn't get, that can never be taken away from him, so that's great news.
"And then, of course, his wife giving birth to a youngster, it's a great couple of days for him."
