Inter coach under serious pressure after third straight loss

Inter Milan head coach Gian Piero Gasperini admitted that he was full of regret after watching his side lose 1-0 at home to Trabzonspor in UEFA Champions League Group B. The 53-year-old is under serious pressure now after the Italians suffered their third consecutive defeat and their fourth loss in five games. Czech right-back Ondrej Celustka was the unlikely hero for the Turks, who were only playing in the competition after domestic champions Fenerbahce were kicked out over a match-fixing scandal. But Gasperini claims that luck was clearly not on his side and admits he must address the problems as quickly as possible.

Regret

He told Sky Italia: "This game gives us a lot of regret. We played with good enthusiasm but this is certainly not a lucky period for us. "I know this is a strong group and we must react quickly. A situation such as this must give us the motivation to shake us into form. And the coach claims he has the full backing of Inter president Massimo Moratti. He added: "Moratti has always given me big support. We received plenty of criticism after the defeat against Palermo at the weekend, which we deserved. "We're having a few problems, but the players are giving everything, so I can't say anything about that."
