Carlisle have announced the extension of midfielder Liam Noble's loan deal from Sunderland.

Youngster has one month deal extended

Carlisle have announced the extension of midfielder Liam Noble's loan deal from Sunderland until the end of the season. The Cumbrians signed the 19-year-old from the Black Cats initially on a one-month deal earlier in January. However the Sunderland academy graduate has already played two games for the club and has impressed enough to persuade manager Greg Abbott to keep him until May. "Liam has a fantastic attitude and he has really impressed us since he got here," Abbott said. "He showed us what he can bring to the side and we're delighted that we've got him here until the end of the season. "He has brought something a bit different and that is important for us as we go into a vital stage of the campaign." Abbott has also been given the option to extend the player's deal if the club make it into the League One play-offs this year.
