Hercules lodge bid

La Liga newcomers Hercules have launched a bid to land Sunderland keeper Marton Fulop, skysports.com understands. The Hungarian international, who impressed during a loan spell at Manchester City late last season when filling in for the injured Shay Given, is looking for first-team football and The Black Cats are ready to sell. A number of Premier League clubs were understood to be keeping tabs on Fulop, but former Sunderland boss Roy Keane was hoping to land him after tabling an offer earlier this week. Fulop is understood to have held talks with Keane, but now skysports.com has learnt that Hercules are looking to land the 27-year-old. Having just been promoted, the Alicante-based side are looking to bolster their squad and have now lodged an offer for Fulop. It now remains to be seen if Fulop will be staying in England or if he will be tempted to switch to La Liga.
