Jack Warner has blasted Sunderland boss Roy Keane for pulling Dwight Yorke from a recent World Cup qualifier.
The Fifa vice-president is a special advisor to the Trinidad & Tobago Football Association and has reacted angrily to the 'callous disregard' shown by European managers towards his homeland.
Yorke was present for his country's game against Guatemala at the weekend, but was prevented from competing against the USA on Wednesday after being summoned back to England by his club.
The veteran midfielder had been quoted as claiming he felt 'fine', and Warner is disappointed that the former Manchester United man was unable to play his part in a crucial fixture on the road to South Africa.
As a result, the Fifa chief has sent a scathing letter to Keane questioning the motives behind the Black Cats manager's decision.
Disrespect
"Your callous disregard for the rights of 'small' countries to have their players represent them as enshrined in Fifa regulations reveals a mean streak in your character," it read.
"It is one which will not endear you or Sunderland to such countries and it is a dangerous path to tread."
Warner added: "Such insensitivity and disrespect were again most recently displayed by you having summoned Dwight Yorke to England, rendering him unavailable to face the USA.
"Your continuing insensitivity and disrespect for countries such as Trinidad and Tobago are hereby noted."
