Black Cats ace keen to play against England

Sunderland striker Kenwyne Jones is desperate to play in Trinidad & Tobago's upcoming friendly with England. It had been thought the 23-year-old former Southampton ace would miss the June 1 clash after breaking his wrist on the final day of the Premier League season. However, Jones has recovered sufficiently enough to persuade Trinidad & Tobago to include him in their squad to face Fabio Capello's men in the Caribbean.

Feature

Black Cats boss Roy Keane is believed to want Jones to sit out the friendly in order to rest this summer, but the hit-man has now confirmed his intent to feature against England. "It's a massive game for us and every player would like to be involved," claimed Jones. "Hopefully I can continue to work with the rest of the guys and run out there next Sunday for the game itself. "We will take our time with everything and I hope to be involved."
