Sunderland boss keeping midfielder on the list

Roy Keane is '100 per cent sure' he made the right decision in putting Sunderland midfielder Liam Miller on the transfer list. Miller was disciplined by Keane earlier in the week for his poor timekeeping and was left out of the squad for Saturday's 0-0 draw at Derby County. The Republic of Ireland international's agent has been critical of the stance, insisting the player is not taking a casual approach to his career. But, after watching Sunderland toil at Pride Park, Black Cats boss Keane is standing by his decision regarding Miller.

Happy

"Liam's agent has been saying a lot of things this week," said Keane after the game. "I was happy with the number of chances we created and I am 100 per cent sure that I made the right decision on the issue. "Do you think it's OK to turn up late for work?" Miller has been linked with a loan move to League One side Leeds United, where he spent a lengthy spell on loan during the 2005/06 season.
