Sunderland have confirmed the signing of Paris Saint Germain defender Jean-Yves Mvoto.
Skysports.com reported on Tuesday that a deal had been struck and now the Black Cats have finalised the move.
Mvoto has signed a three-and-half year contract at The Stadium of Light after the two clubs agreed a compensation package worth around £300,000.
Mvoto opted to move to Sunderland as he was not on professional terms at the Parc Des Princes and he was yet to make a first-team appearance for Paul Le Guen's side.
"Jean is one for the future," said Sunderland boss Roy Keane.
"We've seen a lot of him and he's a strong centre-back who will be a good addition to our squad."
