Wycombe Wanderers striker Jermaine Easter has won his first call-up to the Wales national team.
Easter's 20 goals in 30 games have caught the eye of John Toshack, who is without Rob Earnshaw for the friendly against Northern Ireland.
Toshack's latest squad is missing first-choice central defensive pair James Collins and Danny Gabbidon, with both players currently sidelined with groin problems.
Sunderland stopper Danny Collins returns to the squad after almost a year out following a row with Toshack.
Collins had feared his Wales career was over, but has seemingly been given a lifeline because of the lack of defenders available.
Wrexham's Ryan Valentine joins Easter as the only uncapped player in the squad.
