Leicester City have signed Sunderland winger Andy Welsh on loan until the end of the calendar year.
It is the second occasion that the 22-year-old has spent time with The Foxes, having played two months on loan for the Midlands club last season.
Despite signing a new contract with The Black Cats in the summer, Welsh has become surplus to requirements under manager Roy Keane.
"I am delighted Andy is joining us," Foxes boss Rob Kelly told the club's official website. "He will give us options in the forward positions."
The winger joins Sunderland team-mates Rory Delap and Jon Stead in leaving The Stadium of Light to join a Championship rival on loan.
Welsh is expected to be available for Leicester's trip to struggling Leeds United on Tuesday evening.
