JULIO ARCA believes comaptriot Nicolas Medina will illuminate the Stadium of Light when he settles on Wearside.
The 19-year-old midfielder joined Sunderland from Argentinos Juniors in a £3.7 million deal but coach Peter Reid refused to thrust the player into immediate action preferring to bed the Argentine ace in graduallly.
Medina completed the full 90 minutes in The Black Cats Monday night reserve outing against Liverpool and Arca believes the youngster will blossom in The Premiership.
"It is difficult for Nicolas because he doesn't yet speak English, but as far as football is concerned he is a very good player and I think he will be a success over here once he has had time to adapt," Arca (pictured) told the club's official website.
"Nicolas is a good player and people will see that when he starts to play. He has a good technique and Sunderland offers him a great opportunity to show what he can do."
