Brentford boss Mark Warburton remains hopeful of signing defender Rob Kiernan on loan from Wigan.
The 23-year-old had a successful stint at Griffin Park last season and Warburton is keen to bring back a player he knows well. However, Warburton is waiting to get the green light from former Bees manager Uwe Rosler, who is now in charge at Wigan. "Rob is a player I worked with as a youngster at Watford and one I have watched mature into a fine player and a Republic of Ireland Under-21 international," Warburton said. "He's a player we are interested in but he is a Wigan player and it is up to them whether they will let him out."
