Law wants Duffy clarification

Scunthorpe boss Brian Laws is confused by the transfer saga surrounding Mark Duffy but admits he does not expect him to stay.

The Iron accepted an undisclosed bid from Doncaster last Monday having rejected two previous offers from the Championship club for the 27-year-old winger. However, towards the back end of last week Rovers boss Paul Dickov stated the deal had not yet been concluded and reports stating otherwise were premature. Laws told his club's official website: "We thought that everything was sorted out that end, but now it seems there are one or two things standing in the way of the deal. "Sometimes that is the way with these things and deals take a little bit longer than they should for whatever reason." He added: "Technically he is still a Scunthorpe United player but if I am honest I am not expecting him back. "As far as we are aware nothing has been clarified in that sense, but being realistic, which we have to be, I don't expect him back."
