Ten Championship sides that have already seen their FA Cup dreams die for another year will take in league action on Saturday. With knockout competition taking centre stage this weekend, an opportunity has arisen for a clutch of clubs to pick up points and steal a march on their rivals. With sides towards the top and bottom of the division in action, it is possible that the promotion and relegation picture will have altered somewhat come Saturday evening. Among those hoping to end the weekend having taken a step closer to the Premier League is Watford, with Gianfranco Zola's in-form outfit set to take in a tricky trip to fellow play-off hopefuls Nottingham Forest. Burnley will be looking to make it four wins in a row, allowing them to close to within touching distance of the top six, when they welcome out-of-sorts Birmingham to Turf Moor. At the other end of the table, rock-bottom Bristol City face a potentially crucial clash with Ipswich - with the Tractor Boys still looking anxiously over their shoulder. Sheffield Wednesday are also perched just above the drop zone at present and will have their work cut out on Saturday when in-form Charlton, who have taken maximum points from their last three league outings, make the trip to Hillsborough. Managerless Blackpool have gone six games without a win, but will fancy their chances of getting their season back on track against a Wolves side that is winless in five and yet to secure a victory under new boss Dean Saunders.
