Defender leaves Swindon after clash with Di Canio

Birmingham City have signed Swindon defender Paul Caddis on a season-long loan. Caddis fell out of favour with Robins boss Paolo di Canio over the summer after captaining them to the League Two title last season. Blues striker Adam Rooney heads in the opposite direction in a similar loan move. Irvine-born Caddis is a former Scotland U21 international who came through the ranks at Celtic before joining Swindon in 2010 and he is delighted to be joining Birmingham. Caddis said: "I'm looking forward to getting started. Birmingham City is a big club and something that I thrive off is playing for big clubs. "I just hope now that I can settle in quickly. I've played in a lot of high-intensity games so I don't see why I can't come to the npower Championship and do what I do best."
