Sky Sources understand West Brom have made a bid for Birmingham defender Liam Ridgewell.
The 27-year-old wanted to quit the Championship club during the summer window, but saw a transfer request rejected before the August deadline.
Last week, Birmingham City manager Chris Hughton insisted the club have yet to receive any enquiries for Ridgewell following reports he is set to leave St Andrew's.
But is now appears West Brom have launched a bid to take the defender to The Hawthorns.
The 27-year-old has previously been linked with the likes of Everton, Queens Park Rangers and Newcastle United following Blues' relegation to the Championship.
