Lee makes Daggers loan switch

Dagenham & Redbridge boss John Still has signed West Ham midfielder Oliver Lee on loan until the end of the season.

Son of former Newcastle and England midfielder Robert Lee, the youngster has yet to make his first-team debut but was named as a substitute for the Carling Cup tie with Millwall in August. Still said: "Just as we come to this stage of the season, with the loan window closing, we wanted to make sure we had enough depth in our squad." Meanwhile the club's appeal against the red card shown to defender Oluwafemi Ilesanmi in the midweek draw with Leyton Orient has failed. The left-back will now serve a two-match ban, and Still said: "I showed the incident to 25 people, six of which would count themselves as die-hard Leyton Orient supporters, and every single one of them agreed that it wasn't a penalty. "I've seen it so many times but there you are, you have to live with it."
