Levein calls for Davidson and Caddis after nine withdrawals

Craig Levein has added Murray Davidson and Paul Caddis to his injury-hit Scotland squad for Tuesday's friendly with the Faroe Islands. Scotland saw nine players pull out of the squad over the weekend and Levein has now brought in further replacements for the game at Pittodrie. St Johnstone midfielder Davidson and Swindon Town full-back Caddis have been drafted in after previously being involved with the Under 21s. Christophe Berra, Chris Burke, Gary Caldwell, Graham Dorrans, Matt Gilks, Alan Hutton, James Morrison, Steven Naismith and Steven Whittaker have all dropped out of the squad due to injury. Scotland coach Levein had already called up Craig Bryson, Steven Caldwell, Stephen Crainey, Garry Kenneth, Shaun Maloney and Barry Robson as replacements. Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher will captain the team on Tuesday as Levein seeks a morale-boosting win for his Scotland side.
