Skiverton keen on Sullivan and Kiernan

Yeovil Town manager Terry Skiverton is hoping to extend the loan deals of John Sullivan and Rob Kiernan after an impressive start to the season from both players. The Glovers signed the duo on one-month loan deals from Championship outfits Millwall and Watford, respectively, over the summer. However, with their current deals coming to an end Skiverton told skysports.com that he is keen to prolong their stays at Huish Park. "The reason that we only managed to sort out a one-month loan deal was the fact that they were so close to the first team at their respective clubs, so the current deals gave us the chance to see how things went for a month," he said. "We will see whether the boys have enjoyed it when the month comes to an end and see how they have done, but if they continue to perform how they have been doing then we will definitely be hoping to extend their stays if possible. "Obviously the decision will largely come down to whether their parent clubs are willing to extend their stay here, but we would like to keep them on board if possible."

Striker

The Glovers' search for another striker continues, despite starlet Luke Freeman avoiding a suspected leg break recently, but Skiverton insists he is willing to wait for the right player to become available. "I'm still looking for that extra striker at the moment and the main problem is that the players I am looking at are on the fringes of the first team at their respective clubs, so it is a case of being patient and if they still haven't broken into the first team in a few weeks then I might have a chance of bringing them here. "We've still got quite a bit of time left, with the deadline next week, but we can always use the loan system if we need to after that, so there's no rush at the moment. "I've got Andy Williams who can play up top as well, so we aren't exactly threadbare, but it is just a case of making sure that we have competition for places in all areas."
