Terriers chief yet to put January plans into motion

Huddersfield Town manager Lee Clark says he has yet to contact Middlesbrough regarding a bid for Jonathan Grounds. Skysports.com understands that the Terriers are planning a January bid for Grounds, who has started eight games in the Championship this season. The defender had two loan spells at Norwich City last term, the first of which was during Clark's spell as Glenn Roeder's assistant manager at Carrow Road. Clark admitted he is aware of the 21-year-old, but is still to step up his plans for the January transfer window. "He's a player we are aware of," Clark told the Huddersfield Examiner "I know Jonathan well, but I have not spoken to Middlesbrough, which I would have to do if I wanted to get anything in motion ahead of the January transfer window." Clark also revealed that he is not looking to part with any of his current players in the New Year as he looks to maintain a promotion push. He added: "We have improved the value of the squad with four, five or six players worth seven figures plus, and we don't need to sell. "People can offer what they want, but the answer will be 'no' on all of our players."
