Fabrice Muamba believes the fall-out over Martin Taylor's tackle on Eduardo has brought Birmingham City closer together as a squad.
Taylor has been heavily criticised for his harrowing challenge on the Arsenal ace in Saturday's 2-2 draw which left the Croatia international with a broken leg.
However, Muamba does not believe Taylor, who returned to training on Monday, intended to harm Eduardo.
Muamba, formerly of Arsenal, thinks the negative media that has been brought about by Taylor's tackle has only strengthened Blues' resolve to beat the drop.
"The togetherness of the team in the changing room is even stronger now," he told the Birmingham Mail. "There has been a lot made of the incident.
"It happened and - I was right behind it - it wasn't something he intended. He came back in yesterday and everyone was with him.
"All of us have supported him and we're even closer and more determined now because of what's gone on since the game."
