Steve Bruce says there is 'no chance' of Birmingham City signing Jan Koller.
The veteran Monaco striker has been linked with a move to St Andrews after Reading boss Steve Coppell dismissed an interest.
Blues chief Bruce has adopted a similar stance, stating that the Czech Republic international will not be joining the club.
"Am I close to signing Jan Koller? That's a load of rubbish," said Bruce.
"There is no chance of that happening.
"The first I knew of it was when I read about it."
Meanwhile, keeper Richard Kingson, signed on a free transfer after playing for Hammarby last season, will play for the reserves against Reading on Tuesday night.
The Ghana international is challenging Colin Doyle and Maik Taylor for a place this season.
Bruce confirmed: "Richard has got his work permit and he will play for the reserves."
