Kapo excited by Blues switch

Olivier Kapo has revealed his delight at making his move to Birmingham.

Birmingham new boy Olivier Kapo has revealed his delight at making the move to England.

Kapo sealed a £3million move to Birmingham from Juventus earlier this week, as revealed by skysports.com .

The French international claims he turned other offers to make the move to St Andrews.

"I have received other offers (like Lens) but Birmingham is better in all aspects," Kapo told Spanish radio.

"I know France perfectly and my style is more suited to England.

"I arrive with much emotion to the Premier League because England and Spain are the best leagues in the world."

Kapo, who spent last season on loan at Levante, admitted he was not surprised Juventus were willing to let him leave.

"Juventus were not interested in keeping me and the agreement to leave was positive. I am not surprised by the decision of the Italians."

The attacking midfielder says he is not bitter about Levante not deciding to make his loan move permanent.

"The club did not want the transfer to pass and I accept the decision, but I am convinced that I am able to play in the big leagues in Europe," concluded Kapo.
