Birmingham's search for a striker could be drawing to a close after Luton Town agreed a fee with Blues for Rowan Vine.
A host of clubs have been jostling for position in the race to sign the Luton forward, with West Brom and Cardiff vying with Birmingham for his signature.
Luton had batted back a number of bids for the forward, but they confirmed on Thursday that a bid of £2.5million from St Andrews had received the green light.
Vine has now been given permission to discuss terms with Birmingham officials.
Blues chief Steve Bruce has seen Nicklas Bendtner join Mikael Forssell and Cameron Jerome in the treatment room and he will be hopeful of pushing through a deal for Vine.
