Birmingham City have handed Peterborough United defender Sean St Ledger a trial following a recommendation from Barry Fry.
Blues are keen to rebuild their side following relegation from The Premiership and St Ledger could be part of their plans if he impresses.
St Ledger has spent the last week with Blues and even played for 45 minutes in a 3-0 reserve outing victory over Northampton Town.
"I have recommended Sean to Steve Bruce and as he is training with the Blues, it gives Steve Bruce the chance to take a closer look at him," explained Posh chairman Fry.
Meanwhile, Posh have rejected two bids from Danish outfit Odense, who are managed by Bruce Rioch, for striker Danny Crow.
