THE Republic of Ireland team will be without skipper Kenny Cunningham and Rory Delap for the friendly game against Scotland.

New manager Brian Kerr had earlier confirmed that Cunningham would remain as his captain, but a hamstring injury has ruled the Birmingham City man out of contention.

"Kenny did not train yesterday," confirmed Kerr. "And he would have been captain for the game.

"I really haven't had much time to think who will lead the team now.

"I have only been in the job two weeks."

Rory Delap has also ruled himself out of the match, and Kerr will have to make some quick decisions on his new-look starting line-up.
