Leeds have appointed Julian Darby as the club's new first-team coach.

Darby, 47, who has had coaching roles at Preston, Derby, Nottingham Forest (twice) and Bolton, has been taking pre-season training this week.

He joins head coach Uwe Rosler in Leeds' new-look coaching set-up and assistant head coach Rob Kelly, with whom Darby worked alongside during his second spell at Forest.

Former Brentford and Wigan boss Rosler succeeded Neil Redfearn at the end of May and Kelly arrived as his assistant earlier this month.

Leeds have also appointed former Cardiff goalkeeping coach Richard Hartis to their backroom staff since the end of last season, while new head of recruitment Martyn Glover recently arrived from West Ham.
