Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe says Monday's game against Bolton will be an extremely special occasion

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe says his side 'must do their bit' as they aim to secure promotion to the Premier League with victory over Bolton in Monday's Sky Live game at Dean Court.

A win for Howe's side in their final home game of the season would effectively book their place in the top flight with only a virtually impossible swing in goal difference on the final day denying them a place among English football's elite.

"It's exciting, we still have two games to go and we have tried to focus the players minds very much on the first game," he told Sky Sports News HQ.

"It's about one game which is the Bolton game and everything else after that will take care of itself so we need to make sure regardless of what the other teams do we have to do our bit.

"It's a night game in front of our supporters, the last home game of the season, it's going to be a special occasion and obviously we want the win that will keep our run going."

Bournemouth captain Tommy Elphick has also shrugged off talk of pressure ahead of Monday's game with Bolton.

"For some players there might be nerves but I just think it's a great time to be involved in such a well publicised promotion race and it's so exciting," he said

"A lot of us have taken knock-backs in our careers and they are the things that pave the way for this and set the mentality for this, so I don't see this as pressure but total excitement.”
