Malaysian multi-national leisure company, the Genting Group, has confirmed it has no intentions of investing in Leeds.

Speculation had been mounting on social media that Genting, one of Malaysia's biggest corporations, were keen on buying Leeds.

But the corporation has moved quickly to quell the rumours that it has any interest in the Sky Bet Championship club.

It said in a statement to the Yorkshire Evening Post: "Following rumours circulating around social media and the local press, Genting would like to make it clear that we have absolutely no interest in purchasing or investing in Leeds United Football Club."
