Sheffield Wednesday have been dealt an injury blow with the news that Liam Palmer is set to miss the remainder of the season.
Palmer was carried off on a stretcher after suffering an ankle injury during last Saturday's draw with Fulham and subsequent scans have revealed the 23-year-old sustained significant damage.
Owls boss Stuart Gray told the club's official website: "Liam saw a specialist in London and it's good news in that he doesn't need surgery.
"But he will probably miss the rest of the season and that's a blow for the boy."
