Everton striker Chris Long will stay at Griffin Park for another month after Brentford extended his loan spell.

The 19-year-old has made five substitute appearances for the Bees since joining them on an initial one-month in January and scored his first goal in Saturday's 3-1 win over Bournemouth.

Brentford boss Mark Warburton told the club's website he was "delighted" with Long's contributions so far.

"He has shown energy and enthusiasm, allied to his obvious quality," said Warburton.

"I feel confident all parties will continue to benefit from the loan being extended.

"I would also like to thank Everton for their continued co-operation."

Long is a product of the Everton junior system, having joined the club at the age of five and worked his way through the Blues Academy in each age division, up until U20 level.

He made his debut for Everton against MK Dons in the 2013/14 season and has scored once for the Everton senior side, in a pre-season match.
