Sheffield Wednesday boss Stuart Gray was disappointed not to win against Brighton in a game where his side fashioned a number of chances but ended up with a point in a 0-0 stalemate.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net despite plenty of attacking intent and Wednesday fans were off their feet multiple times as they created a host of goalscoring opportunities without being able to finish any of them.
Atdhe Nuhiu will feel like he should have got on the scoresheet as he created two identical opportunities thanks to some clever play inside the box, but he put them both over the bar.
Kieran Lee also had a couple of clear-cut chances but found Brighton keeper David Stockdale in his path on both occasions.
Brighton will most likely go away the happiest having gained a point on the road on a rough and chewed up pitch, but they too will be disappointed that the best chance of the game was spurned by on-loan Joe Bennett whose shot at an open net was blocked by Kamil Zayatte in the Wednesday defence.
Gray said: "In the second half we dominated the game on a difficult pitch - again we're talking about the pitch - but I feel for Atdhe at the end there with the chance he's created for himself.
"He's gone to side-foot it and it's bobbled up and it's ended up going off his shin which is very frustrating, but on a normal pitch you just stroke that in because he's created his chance excellently. I think Kieran Lee has had two, maybe three chances to put us in front.
"Talking about groundhog day, it really is. We had it against Cardiff where we dominated the ball, dominated possession, dominated the chances, but suddenly they get corners in the 94th and 95th minutes and you think you might get done.
"Credit to the boys because I wanted a response. On Tuesday we were very poor against Ipswich and I can't fault the effort. Again it's just that little missing piece of the jigsaw."
Brighton manager Chris Hughton was happy to see his side's defence keep out their opponents for the second successive away game having also drawn 0-0 at Cardiff in midweek.
He said: "We always knew it would be tough. It's a very difficult pitch to play how you'd like to play but that's two clean sheets on the road and I think that, as the away team, yes you've got to be pleased with that.
"We're a side who like to move the ball about and probably a reflection of the pitch is I thought that particularly when the game opened up, we counter-attacked very well but it was always going to be difficult to get that final pass in when we needed to.
"The one time when we were through was when Sam Baldock went through. I haven't seen it again but speaking to the lad, who's a very honest lad, he thinks it was a nailed-on penalty."
