League One club Leyton Orient have parted company with sporting director Mauro Milanese, according to Sky sources.
The 43-year-old took the role last August and was then handed a six-week tenure as manager of the Os between October and December before being replaced by fellow-Italian Fabio Liverani.
Relations between Milanese and Liverani, who played together at Perugia during the 2000/2001 season, were thought to have become untenable and an Orient statement confirming Milanese's departure is expected later today.
Milanese, a full-back during his playing days, won two caps for Italy in 1999 and went on to play for QPR between 2005 and 2007.
Leyton Orient have struggled for form this season and have lost six of their last 10 League One games, leaving them languishing in 22nd place.
