Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Bowyer says striker Rudy Gestede will not be leaving unless his valuation is met.

Crystal Palace had a £3.5m offer rejected by Rovers for the striker, who has scored 12 goals in 23 Sky Bet Championship appearances this season.

Bowyer said the Benin forward, who has also been linked with Hull, will be in the squad for this weekend’s FA Cup fourth-round tie with Swansea City after sitting out last weekend's 1-1 draw at Wigan.

He said: "There’s no further developments as we speak, he goes into the squad for Saturday.

"Unless anything changes before then, he’s focused on having an involvement against Swansea.

"The lad has conducted himself in a brilliant way as we expected.

"It’s not his fault that people don’t meet the valuation of him by our owners, all he can do is get ready for the game.

"The owners have a valuation on where the player sits and until that’s met, he won't be going anywhere."
