Rotherham have released winger Febian Brandy and midfielder Michael Tidser from their contracts at the New York Stadium.

Brandy signed for the Millers in the summer on a pay-as-you-play deal but failed to impress, making only one appearance.

The 25-year-old, who began his career at Manchester United, spent two months on loan at League One Crewe, scoring one goal in eight appearances before injury cut his spell at Gresty Road short.

He was unable to force his way into Millers boss Steve Evans' plans and leaves the club after agreeing to cancel his contract.

Tidser also departs after having his contract paid up.

The 24-year-old, who joined the club in the 2013, has also failed to break into Evans' team and has recently had a loan spell at Oldham while also spending the second half of last season on loan at Ross County.

He exits having made 19 appearances for the Millers.
