Sky Bet Championship: Wolves boss Kenny Jackett to keep close eye on Nouha Dicko

Wolves boss Kenny Jackett admitted he pushed Nouha Dicko on his return and will monitor him closely during the festive period.

The four-goal striker made his comeback after two months out with a hamstring problem in Saturday's 1-1 Sky Bet Championship draw with Brighton.

Jackett played Dicko longer than the medical team had initially advised but he has come through without any problems.

He said: "The recommendation from the medical people was 20 minutes.

"As a coach I stretched that to 45 but they felt 20 minutes would be about right because he's had problems in the past.

"But he came through it fine from half a game."

But Jackett admitted he will have to watch the Mali international to ensure he does not overload him.

"He is the only one we might have to be more careful with. I will take it a game at a time," he told Press Association Sport ahead of Boxing Day's trip to Watford.

"We have spoken about it already and we will speak again on Saturday morning to see where we think he is.

"We will be monitoring that situation and we will have to be careful because we wouldn't want to lose him, but similarly we want to do well in the games.

"But in between the two games we will have to look at it."
