Ipswich's Tyrone Mings set for England Under 21 call-up

NOTTINGHAM, ENGLAND - OCTOBER 05: Tyrone Mings of Ipswich Town during the Sky Bet Championship match between Nottingham Forest and Ipswich Town at City Gr

Highly-rated Ipswich Town defender Tyrone Mings is in line for a call-up to the England Under 21 set-up.

Mings has been earning rave reviews at Portman Road this season and was named Championship Player of the Month for September.

The 21-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best young talents outside of the Premier League, with Ipswich rejecting a £6million offer from Crystal Palace on deadline day last summer.

Scouts from the Premier League's big guns have been flocking to Portman Road to cast an eye over the powerful full-back.

The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton have all been credited with an interest in Mings, with Ipswich bracing themselves for moves for the left-back in January.

Mings has also come under the radar of the England Under 21 set-up and his outstanding performances could see him rewarded with a call-up to Gareth Southgate's squad as he prepares for next summer's European Championship.
