Leeds head coach Darko Milanic refused to dwell on the mounting pressure as he bids to guide his side to their first victory since he took charge last month in Friday night's derby clash at Rotherham.

The West Yorkshire club have lost some momentum under Milanic, losing once and drawing twice under the Slovenian, while caretaker-boss Neil Redfearn guided them to three wins and a draw during his temporary spell in charge.

"It's important," Milanic told a press conference at Thorp Arch. "The win is like the sun. Today the sun is out. I hope tomorrow also."

Former Sturm Graz boss Milanic said he had taken full advantage of the international break as he grows accustomed to the new challenges he faces at Elland Road.

"For me it's extremely important to train with my team and we have done a lot of things (in the break)," he added.

"We played very well in the last game. We did well in defensive play but also in possession.

"We did a lot of good things and made opportunities to score goals.

"The game against Sheffield Wednesday was a good game for everyone - for me, the players but also for the fans.

"Football is easy to talk about. We were close to the win against Sheffield Wednesday. We were close.

"(On Friday) we have to be better, to do more in some moments like we had against Sheffield Wednesday.

"It's very easy to say it, we have to be concentrated and show a lot of energy."
