Danish defender Casper Sloth believes he has joined a Leeds United side that is 'on the way back to the top'.

Sloth has penned a three-year contract at Elland Road after sealing a switch from AGF Aarhus.

The 22-year-old has revealed that he had other offers to consider, believed to be from France, but opted to buy into the ambition at Leeds.

He is convinced that he has made the right decision and is delighted to be forming part of a squad he sees improving over the coming weeks.

Sloth told Aarhus Stiftstidende: “I am truly happy that everything is done with Leeds.

“It is a big club with proud traditions who have been down but is on the way back to the top.

“I am really happy to be a part of this project.”

Sloth is also of the opinion that he will have no problem adjusting to the English style of football.

He added: “The game is not as physical as it used to be in the past.

“At Leeds, they want to play football and that appeals a lot to me.”
