Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has confirmed the club have had no approaches for top scorer Lewis Grabban.
The 26-year-old striker, who signed a new deal with the Cherries back in November, was linked with a move to Sky Bet Championship rivals Brighton earlier this week, but Howe insists they want to keep one of their star men.
"We haven't had any approaches for Lewis as we speak," he told BBC Radio Solent.
"We are aware of the speculation, so we will wait and see. But from my perspective, I want to keep my best players.
"We want to build something here and to progress. To progress as a football club you need to keep hold of your best players and hopefully we can do that."
Reports claim that Grabban has a release clause of just over £1million.
Grabban, who joined the club from Rotherham for £300,000 in May 2012, has scored 10 goals in 25 appearances for Bournemouth this season.
