Queens Park Rangers will not be putting fresh terms to Oguchi Onyewu, freeing him to look for a new employer.
The USA international linked up with the Loftus Road outfit in October on a short-term agreement.
Harry Redknapp moved for the 31-year-old as he sought experienced cover for the injured Nedum Onuoha.
Former Newcastle United loanee Onyewu has, however, failed to make a single appearance during his second stint in English football.
Taking that into account, Redknapp is prepared to let the centre-half head for the exits.
He said in the Chronicle: "Oguchi's still here and is fit, but I think he's looking to move now. His contract is up in a week or two."
