Sky Sports understands a host of Football League clubs are monitoring the situation of young Luton centre-back Alex Lacey.
Bournemouth are long-term admirers, while fellow Championship sides Charlton and Millwall and League One Peterborough have also sent scouts to watch the talented 20-year-old.
Until a recent injury, Lacey had been a regular in Luton's defence this season as the high-flying Hatters mount a concerted push for a return to League Two.
John Still's side currently sit top of the Skrill Premier table, with Lacey having played 19 times, scoring once, although he has been out of action since November 26 after sustaining a foot injury against Southport.
With his contract set to expire in the summer, the Hatters are keen to try and get him to pen a new deal to prevent losing the youngster for a knock-down fee.
