Reading boss Nigel Adkins is hopeful Danny Williams will be fit to face Bournemouth at the weekend.
The midfielder was substituted as a precaution during Tuesday night's 1-0 win over Charlton to protect a calf problem and was replaced by Hope Akpan.
"You could see five minutes beforehand he was stretching, he was labouring a little and you'd like to think he'll be okay for the weekend but we'll see," said Adkins.
"We'll have an MOT on all the players in the next couple of days.
"We got a fresh Hope Akpan to come on and you say 'come on then, give us some energy in there' so that's why you have a group of players."
