Reading have announced that they have agreed the purchase of land in Wokingham to build a new training complex.

The Royals confirmed that they had exchanged contracts with the Royal Merchant Navy School Foundation for the purchase of 120 acres of land.

Reading are now set to put in planning permission to Wokingham Borough Council to build a facility of up to 15 pitches on the site, with indoor facilities too which would serve as their new training headquarters for their senior and academy teams.

Reading have been at their current Hogwood Park base since 2004, but feel they need to improve their facilities with the move to Wokingham.
