Craig Bellamy is well suited to a career in management, according to his Cardiff manager Malky Mackay.
The Welsh winger, who turns 34 next month, has spoken this week of his desire to one day take charge of his current club and his country as well.
And Mackay believes Bellamy has what it takes to cut it as a manager when he decides to hang up his boots.
"Craig certainly has the desire, the football knowledge and the passion needed to manage," he told the South Wales Echo.
"So I don't see why he can't make it. The ones who are clever about it immediately throw themselves into the academic side of it and get their badges.
"They acquire as much knowledge as they can from good people.
"They then see what part of the game they can slot into, but you need passion and not to be afraid of hard work - and that sums Craig up."
